The 4 C's to Diamonds
One of nature’s most precious gemstones, a diamond's uniqueness and strength is derived from its cut, carat, colour and clarity. Each diamond carries its own beautiful blend which determines its brilliance and value. Choosing a diamond needs a little understanding of the Four Cs; you will feel confident in making your perfect choice.
Don't let anyone tell you that diamonds are hard. Cut is the diamonds most important characteristic. Basically, the better the cut the more sparkle.
Grading a diamond is based on its lack of color the less colour higher the grade.
Diamonds have tiny imperfections not seen through the naked eye, they are called inclusions. These influence the diamonds clarity grade. Flawless diamonds are rare.
Carat is the weight of the diamond, not its size.
